Therapist Profiles

PARKER ALTER, N.C.M.T.  Owner, Alter Wellness

I am a long standing resident of the Richmond community. I graduated from Trinity Episcopal and Hollins University.  After careers in Broadcasting and Real Estate, I completed the study of alternative healing therapies at American Institute of Massage Inc, located in Richmond, VA.

I was drawn to this new career path after experiencing the many types of healing arts, including massage, that can enhance one’s health and overall wellness.  As a long time sufferer of Migraines, I found that Massage Therapy helped decrease the number of incidents.  With hands -on experience of the power of Touch Therapy, I knew that I wanted to make this my career.  With the establishment of Alter Wellness, I am proud to provide therapeutic services to my clients.  The idea of complementary health solutions is an old idea and, thankfully, a tradition that is coming full circle.

Along with massage therapy, I am training in the art of Reiki Therapy and will continuously perfecting the art.  I believe strongly in the power of learning many massage techniques to better serve my clients.

My aspiration is to assist in the realization of creating a stronger, more self aware, healthy community through providing services that instill those values. Each therapist at our location brings their own unique set of finely tuned skills in a variety of wellness modalities. This is what makes Alter Wellness the establishment that sets the bar in quality of clientele care.

On a personal note, I love to travel when I can to experience what the world has to offer.  My husband and I have four children between us and love spending time with our family and friends.  Our dog, Zoey is a constant source of entertainment.

Please feel free to contact me directly at 804-814-8259 or via email parker@alterwellness.com . I look forward to working with you on your wellness.
